In recent years, Linsey Kuijpers has photographed Charlotte. She started the project when Charlotte was 17 years old, a teenager. Today her muse is 22 years old, and has become a beautiful young woman.
Linsey makes photo reports of people who have trouble finding their place in society. Charlotte’s story is intriguing. Her life is one full of ups and downs. But despite of the many difficult moments, she has a positive attitude and she always keeps laughing. There are many families in the Netherlands just like Charlotte’s. We are not aware of that because it is often difficult to come so close and even more so to become so intimate with these families, but Linsey did.
The Charlotte project is a follow-up of the Henny project by Michel Szulc Krzyzanowski. This is the first chapter of Charlotte’s story.
