During an ordinary walk in the vicinity of Moscow, Dutch photographer Niek Biegman underwent a revelation. Suddenly he realized that a form of collective city art, which he had never recognized as such, surrounded him. All around him, on walls, fences, rain pipes and lantern piles, the remnants of cross-glued advertisements form insane collages.
This book shows pictures of this ubiquitous, unintentional and mostly unprized ‘art’ in the streets of Moscow.
